“Kindness is not just a feeling. It is a decision to stand beside someone when the world has walked past them.”

Story
How It Started
Embrace of Celebration began with a simple act of kindness.
Founder Bettina Grzeskowiak, a single mother originally from Hannover, Germany, saw families in her community struggling to feed their children during the COVID-19 lockdown.
At the time she had only $7 in her bank account, but she felt strongly that she needed to help.
She began making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and delivering them in her minivan to families living in hotels along Highway 192.
What started as one small act of kindness quickly grew as volunteers, donors, and community partners stepped forward to help.
Today Embrace of Celebration serves more than 10,000 people every month through food distributions, youth programs, school partnerships, and community outreach.
